Can we still have trust in the public sphere today? We explored this question with journalist and war correspondent Vojtěch Boháč, founder of the news portal Voxpot. We talked about information warfare, disinformation, the future of the media, and why trust in verified sources will become more important than ever in the age of artificial intelligence.

When he is not in the newsroom in Prague, he is often found in places where reliable information is particularly difficult to come by. Just a few days before our interview, Boháč had returned from Odesa, Ukraine.

How can we tackle cybersecurity legislation and AI with confidence while keeping a sense of perspective? That was the theme of this year’s TechForum, one of the Czech Republic’s largest IT conferences dedicated to the latest technologies. The event brought together IT managers, specialists and representatives of the companies and organisations driving technological progress. While most attendees appeared to have accepted the requirements of the new Cybersecurity Act as a reality and felt able to adapt to them, cybersecurity in an era of widespread AI adoption is an issue causing concern across the entire industry.

What AI tools do you use? Do you know what tools your colleagues use? Do you know where the data you put into them ends up? Let's be clear, this article is not meant to scare you. But we also know that when managers are asked the previous three questions, many of them become uncertain. And because the use of artificial intelligence will only continue to grow, now is the right time to set boundaries so that a great tool does not become a security threat.

Digitalization, efficient state, simplified communication with authorities. In technology circles, these words are more frequently used than the absence of snow among ski lifters. But the digitisation of state administration keeps failing to arrive. Why? Where is the problem? And don't we sometimes have unreasonable and unrealistic expectations? Tomáš Rutrle talks about all this in this interview. He is in charge of the digital solutions for the modern state section at Aricoma and has a great deal of experience. Because he was already on the topic of digitalization at a time when the Czech Republic was just beginning to use the Internet en masse.

I can think of three major technological innovations I've seen in my career: the internet (connecting everything), mobile (connecting all the time), and big language models (LLM, generative AI). The penetration of the first two has been relatively slow (within years). AI, on the other hand, has swept in like a hurricane.
